Copyright, Libel, Slander, & Defamation
Introduction
You are responsible for what you post. You might also be responsible for the words of others. You could be held responsible for re-posting a defamatory work written by another, or even linking to a defamatory work, or quoting from a defamatory work. It is up to you to verify the links that you link to in your posts. Do not link to gossip that may turn out to be false. The truth is always your best defense. Do not incite defamatory remarks, or belittle other people.

Copyright – Posts may be Edited, Censored, Deleted
You agree to give up NON-EXCLUSIVE copyright of anything you write or post to Boords.com or any of its forums to Boords.com, its owners, operators, workers, or volunteers, so that all postings may be moderated, edited, or archived. Even one complaint or the threat of litigation may require a post to be removed or edited. Moderators, if they exist, are free to edit posts to avoid potential future problems.

Copyright - Be Careful What You Post
Do not violate someone else’s copyright when you post and do not link to a webpage that violates someone else’s copyright. Please check all facts for accuracy as best you can. If you willfully infringe upon a copyright you may be liable for damages, fees, and costs.

Libel & Slander & Defamation
Libel is defamation using written words. Defamation can also occur via pictures, cartoons, or graphics. Do not make false or misleading statements. You agree not to libel, defame, or slander anyone or any entity, or to threaten or disparage Boords.com, its owners, operators, workers, or volunteers. Libel and defamation are not permitted. Written defamatory statements are unacceptable. If such writings occur we will co-operate as best we can with the resources we have available to delete, or edit, the offending posts, and perhaps to ban the user or take over their account. In all cases of libel, defamation, or slander the posting person, or user, is the responsible party.

Feel free to post: "Attention Moderator …." to call any problems to our attention using the contact form. We will co-operate with lawyers, law enforcement, or the courts, in providing source information if, in our opinion, any libel, suspected libel, or possibly even ambiguous libel occurs. In all cases of libel the posting person is the responsible party.

Suspected spam will be taken over
Suspected spammers, bots, flamers, or other potentially trouble-causing, or concerning accounts will be taken over, edited, or deleted.
