    Personal experiences with writing

Although I am basically a science geek, I've always admired art. It's needles to say I listen to a lot of music. And, like many teenagers, I've done my fair share of trying to write. Poems at first, but later short stories. I enjoy writing stories more than poems, mainly because it gives me this feeling of being in control of the world i create and being free to express myself through the characters I create. Plus, I find it very entertaining trying to figure out a way to twist the story line. It's a lot of fun to write, especially if you're not shy from the sheet of paper.
Have others from the forum tried writing? Do you think you're good at it? What do others think about your abilities?

I can not live without writing, but perhaps i am a realist not an idealist. Therefore i would love to write on current affairs, on people around me and about those who have ever existed. I don't know but building a dream world in my writings would be the last thing i would do. I always wonder how one can even live without writing, after all this is the best way of expressing yourself and for me it is also a source of livelihood.

I love to write whenever I have the time. Because of my sometimes short term memory, writing down my personal experiences is a good way to remind me of the things I have been doing in my life.
