The Jungle Book - Rudyard Kipling
"It was seven o'clock of a very warm evening in the Seeonee hills when
Father Wolf woke up from his day's rest, scratched himself, yawned, and
spread out his paws one after the other to get rid of the sleepy feeling
in their tips."
A nice feeling of personification and warm atmosphere in this one. So, it definitewly gets the 5 out of 5.

I always love to read the first paragraph that raises half of the curtain. It always invokes your curiosity and tempts you to read the rest. This is no doubt a very well-written para with very good narration of personal feelings but this is just about a person. However it also sets the scenario for an interesting story. Therefore i have starred this paragraph 4 out of 5.

By reading the first paragraph of every literary piece, it should readily give you an idea of whether it would be worth reading from cover to cover. This initial paragraph was neatly done, well opening your minds into expecting a story that is not boring.
