    Children of Democracy

I was born in the early years after Eastern Europe shrugged socialism from its shoulders and my country was new to democracy then.
Now, there's a certain difference between people who've been born and lived most of their lives during the socialism, and those people born after it. This really affects a lot of things, for example education, since most of the teachers are literally old, and to add to the misunderstanding between generations, they have reserved their way of thinking from before 1989.
And we, the children of democracy are just starting to become adults, and I can't help but be excited about what the country will feel like after 10 or 15 years, when most of the people don't know about socialism...

Democracy is no doubt one of the masterpieces that the man has crafted for his own benefit. We are no doubt a fortunate generation that has opened its eyes in a mature democratic environment. However we must remember that more the democracy is evolving the more it is beneficial. So it is up to us that what kind of democracy we leave for our coming generations. Are we doing the same?

The problem with Democracy is when people abuse it. Democracy must be exercise with limits. People from every generation must be educated properly about what it truly means to be living in a democratic country.
